Michael Barnard has been in the commercial construction industry since 1972 and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana as well as a LEED AP. ML Barnard, Inc’s experience ranges from multi-story office buildings, office and manufacturing facilities, medical facilities, retail, restaurants, industrial, tenant finish and churches. ML Barnard is also an authorized Nucor Building Systems Dealer furnishing and erecting pre-engineered metal buildings.

At a local Chamber of Commerce seminar, the definition of art versus design was brought up. Though never thinking of our company in this way, we realized how this applies to us in the construction industry. An artist creates art with themselves in mind; a designer creates something with their customer in mind. ML Barnard Inc. has always had the mindset of a designer and doesn’t create a building for ML Barnard Inc, we create a building for our client with their budget and ultimate end use in mind. We feel it is easy to build the Taj Mahal with an endless budget; the challenge is to try to build it with the client’s budget in mind. From the start of each project, our goal is to keep the project within budget, eliminating the client’s headaches so they can focus on their business all while creating a project they are proud to have their name on.
